As a member of the team at South Omaha Medical Associates, I am proud to say that our clinic is actively working to reduce the disparity of Latino doctors in the medical field. We understand the importance of providing culturally sensitive care, and having Latino doctors on staff is essential in achieving that goal.

Our recent news story highlighting the need for more Latino doctors is a concern, but it’s also an opportunity for us to make a difference. At South Omaha Medical Associates, we have two Latino doctors on staff and we’re actively working to increase diversity in the medical field.

We believe that reducing the disparity of Latino doctors can make a significant difference in healthcare outcomes for the Hispanic community. Patients need doctors who understand their cultural nuances and can provide care that is both effective and sensitive to their needs.

Our commitment to providing quality healthcare to all our patients is unwavering, and having a diverse team is a crucial part of achieving that goal. As a team, we’re proud to be a part of the solution to reducing the disparity of Latino doctors in the medical field. We’re excited to work with others to make a positive impact on healthcare outcomes for the Hispanic community.

Native American Mural Project 2021

We were fortunate enough to get the opportunity to collaborate with the South Omaha Mural Project on a Native American tribute on the side of our building. The “mural was created in tribute to the strength and importance of women in the Native American community.”

SOMP collaborated with the community and worked closely to bring an image that was both impactful and full of meaning. The collaboration allowed many voices to be heard and be portrayed in the powerful imagery. Please visit the SOMP site to learn about the many details involved in the project.

We will be closed this weekend in order to join the Cinco de Mayo parade and celebrate! Look for us in the parade and ask us about t-shirts and  freebies. If you have questions/concerns please call the answering service (402-731-9100).
